There is a growing increase in the need for ground training and testing for drone usage. Whether it be for personal or business use. Air-Mods can help you by being your “One Stop Shop!”
Air-Mods Flight Academy has already helped certify groups ranging from construction companies to local police departments. We conduct 2-3 day ground schools ending with the UAG Knowledge exam.
How it works!
Air-Mods Flight Academy not only has certified ground instructors, but is also a PSI approved testing center. This means we can walk you through the steps of obtaining your “Drone License.” You will receive ground instruction to prepare you to take the UAG Knowledge test and take the test all in the same place! The only “One Stop Shop” in the area!
3 Day Course:

Day 1 & 2: Ground School Training
​
You will go over the knowledge test topics and test taking strategies. Each day will be approximately 6 hours long with a break for lunch.

Day 3: Test Day!
​
You will come in at your scheduled time and we will administer the UAG Knowledge Test.

Obtaining an FAA "Drone License"
You will need to obtain a Remote Pilot Certificate from the FAA to be able to fly a Drone under Part 107 (the FAA’s Small Unmanned Aircraft Systems or rule).
The process:

Create an Integrated Airman Certification and Rating Application (IACRA) profile to obtain your FAA Tracking Number (FTN). This will allow you to register for your knowledge test.

Schedule your Knowledge Test with an FAA approved Knowledge Testing Center

Pass your aeronautical knowledge test “Unmanned Aircraft General - Small or UAG)

​Using your IACRA profile, complete the 8710-13 form to apply for your remote pilot certificate.

​You will receive a confirmation once your background check is complete. It will have directions of printing your temporary certificate. A permanent certificate will be mailed to you.
